I can across an Unusual free visitor counter today and I thought Its worth sharing especially with a worldwide site like ours.

Its called Neocounter from a site called www.neoworks.net

And what makes it different is it logs up the Countries that visit the homepage in a neat scrolling window

The Pay version has obviously more features Fancier design,

But the Basic free version looks tidy enough

This Topic was intended for the Older members of the Site who Built up the Way the Site is Run

Often its put in the General discussion Areas But some Technical Items to try out and Things of Interest can only be shown on the Main Forum
For everyone to try out

As for this item, it shows where your visitors to your site/ webpage are located and given Time it builds up into a colorful display of Flags and How many times somebody has paid you a visit (Does not record the Persons Personal details)

As I recall the Last time I did a Poll of the Answerpool Members Locations. The list was about 120 Countries (and regions) Cool

Imagine that Visitor counter with 120 flags?
BTW The Whole "World" (If you collected all the flags?) is currently about 145 countries
Got that information off the SETI@Home site which records all members country locations

I have been a member of BOINC/Seti as long as I have been surfing and have 8 projects running currently .Keeps the Computer busy when its Idle Smile

Bedstor, the United Nations currently has 192 member nations, and there are another 10 or so non-member countries who have various international recognition. You are about 35 years or so out-of-date.

Update on this Program
They have a new toolbar Which I installed and its "Useful" even accesses many Windows programs Search goes to Google
When logged in the counter starts working BUT... It is Limited to the Email contact list your email address is logged in with Frown
Clue was the Weather forecast Location 100 miles away!
Verdict Disappointing 5/10 ...5 for the design.(shame about the Visitor choice) Roll Eyes
As to placing it on a webpage/homepage as a counter (Premium) It would look good Smile
It's as a toolbar its a bit of a letdown Frown
