Remember the Bloat of the AOL 5 to 9 browsers and all the " Walled Garden extras" which many people never utilised .Me Too and (I like AOL)

Here is a glimpse of the Future its called AOL Explorer and all it is is 1 tabbed page and...the bloat is Gone

It can be downloaded via a short download from
http://downloads.channel.aol.com/windowsproducts .Download link is on top right of the list
The Download is open to all surfers and everybody can now be an AOL member by getting a screenname (For AIM) and Getting a free AOL Mailbox for youself (Think its 1GB? needs clarifying) Only door that is shut is The Access to get online.(have to pay)
The Tabs are customisable .History, Internet Explorer favorites also AOL Favourites are easily Accessible and as Some of the Younger generation say the Security Controls are "Trick" (simplified from the Current version and easy to understand) I like the Power Browsing Controls(under Tools) Which have some neat surprises (not spoiling it)
Now the CONs... The Browser cannot connect up to sign on (the sign on box does nothing gets email only) and B) The content on the Page is currently the American Site only
Once these issues have been rectified I feel that AOL will Jump up the League and reclaim many old and New members and Casual surfers too I think they'll like this.
Anybody know anything about dates for the full release and B) when can this be used as a sign on point? (and we can delete the AOL 9 browser) and the Mountain of AOL CDs
PS For the Full effect AOL Have released a new beta version of AIM (called code name Triton) Version 2.2.71.1 called Internally "I AM" This now has video messaging built in Not too sure if its Skype compatible? It'll run on XP and Windows 2000
www.aim.com/get_aim/win/latest_win.adpI note that AOL have gone over to a 2 stage download Viz a 298k installer then the Main download or extras to follow (so I cannot give you any file sizes)
