To be sure we're giving you the correct information, we would need much more information about your system.
Based on statistics (most commonly used systems-software) I can offer the following.
I'm assuming Windows XP Operating System running Internet Explorer, version 7.0. If you're a different setup, the answer will vary, either a little or a lot depending...
Click Start/Control Panel
Open the Add-Remove applet
Scroll to the Quick Time entry and select it.
Click the Add/Remove button and follow the uninstall steps.
See this pictureOnce QT is uninstalled, click this link and download/install a new QuickTime program file.
Hopefully, this will solve the problem. If not, you might try this additional steps:
Open Internet Explorer
Click the Tools menu (
See this picture) Then click the Internet Options.
Under Browsing History, click the Setting button.
In the Temporary Internet Files and History Window, click the "View Objects" button.
If you see any entries that have yellow or red marks saying they are damaged or not working correctly, right-click on the item and choose "Update". As an option you can choose "Remove" and the next time your browse to a file requiring one of these objects, you will see a "Download" dialog box. You can OK that and get the object reinstalled at that time.
