I don't know if this has been brought up before, but it bears repeating. If you have a listed phone number, a person can enter that with the area code in Google, get your name and address, and a Mapquest map for where you live. You can, however, block it.

Thanks for bringing this to everyones' attention jr.

I 'googled' my number to test whether this applies in the UK too, but thankfully no map of my street was linked to!

Didn't work for my number, either here or in Alaska. Did get my mom's, but the map was wrong.

There's an opt-out on the page that brings up your number.
