I wasn't sure what section to post this. I posted it here because it is Italian I guess.
This is a recipe that I came up with several years ago. I never wrote it down anywhere, I just have it stored in my memory.
Keep in mind that this is extremely rich! (because it is made with the cream cheese rather than flour)
1lb.(16oz.) Cream Cheese.* (regular cream cheese not fat free, light or nefautual) 3-4 Tablespoons of half & half 1 tablespoon garlic salt(or parslied garlic salt is good too) 1/3 cup parmesan cheese salt & pepper to taste.
In a medium sauce pan, melt cream cheese. You want to make sure it is of smooth consistancy. You don't want big lumps in it. Mix in half & half. Stir in seasonings, add cheese. Stir until cheese is all melted.
Serve with your favorite pasta noodle or Ravioli or Tortellini. hmmm...Really yummy with Cheese Ravioli.(What can I say...I am a cheese fanatic!)
*Variation- you can substitute 1/2 of the regular cream cheese for a flavored one. Like herb or garlic. This is also very good!
One way that is very tasty is if you take a noodle, I like Fettucini, and mix with the sauce and add slices of Pepperoni. You could also add olives and tomatoes if desired. But the pepperoni is very tasty. Enjoy! ++++++++++++++++++++++++ 06-23-03, 02:51 AM Judy I tried this with sliced in half grape tomatoes. Although I'm not suppose to have tomatoes, it was delicious!!
