I don't know if this is what you're lookign for, but lowering stress, reducing sodium in the diet, excercising, and relaxation techniques such as meditation are all natural ways to reduce blood pressure.

I don't know of any herbal remedies that have been shown to be effective and safe, but I thought I'd offer a few words about 'natural' herbal remedies (applying to any, not just blood pressure remedies). Natural does not equal safe, there are plenty of natural poisons. Herbal remedies are less regulated, which means they can makes claims that they can't really back up and don't have to prove safety to the degree that recognized medicines do.

I'm a big believer in the potential of herbal remedies, but they are not inherently more effective or safe than 'unnatural' remedies, and they are less well-regulated.

Walking. Walking is good for everything except tired feet. Walking helps keep weight in control and that in turn lowers blood pressure. The flexing of leg muscles during walking tones the veins and arteries and that can reduce one of the risks of high blood pressure which is blood clots in the legs which can lead in turn to strokes and heart attacks. And nothing is more natural than walking.

Thank you for your helpful answers. My Aunt has just been diagnosed with high blood pressure, and is looking for ways to help lower it.

I will print out your replies, and the sites that Texan-In-Exile posted and show them to her.

They say that cats and dogs (calm ones) or good pets of any sort can be excellent for your health (provided you are not allergic). Cats are believed to help lower blood pressure, calm nerves and stress, and so forth... That's about as natural as you can get.
