Hi! smile I have a question about heating pads. It says that people who are paralyzed, have circulation problems, are diabetic, etc...can't use them. Why not? What will happen?
Please explain this to me. I would appreciate it a lot! smile
Thank you! smile

It's because these people may have nerve damage, and so not realise when the heating pad gets too hot. This can lead to burn injuries.

My husband had a back injury. Before having his surgery, he used a heating pad. After a while, I noticed what looked like bruising all over his lower back. When he went to the doctor, he said it was from a heating pad. He was using it too much and at too high of a setting. After that he only used it 15/20 minutes at a time and only on medium. The bruised look went away in about a month.
