Has anyone here had a swedish massage before? Is $45 a good deal for an hour massage? I've never had one before. What are they like? Are they worth it? These may sound like dumb questions but I was just wanting to know what to expect going in to it. Thanks

$45 for a one hour massage is a fantastic deal - I think that's about 1/2 of the cost around here. If you've never had one, you might feel a little uncomfortable - only cause they tell you to take your clothes off and get under a sheet. Fear not - they never see you naked - honest...if you'd be more comfortable, you can leave on your underpants - but they keep you totally covered while they massage you anyway.
A swedish massage isn't quite as deep as a "deep tissue" massage - meaning it shouldn't "hurt" and it should be very relaxing for you. Different therapists do it differently. But they will likely ask you if there is a particular area you want addressed (like stress in the shoulderblades, etc.) I would usually tell them you just want an allover one - nothing in particular. This would be especially good for you to see what you like best.
Go for it - - have a great time - relax and enjoy. And just as an FYI (if you don't already know this) - - tipping for services is usually expected....
By all means, listen to Lydia!! First, $45 is a steal. Second, you'll feel like a new person (or anyway same person with a new bod). Third, the downside-- it could become addictive. Warning---oh but what an addiction. Fourth, Just Do It! No regrets---
