Which term used in discussing computer systems to denote a change which will require a complete restart or conversion of a sizable body of software or data?

Also in reference to a holiday in many countries in the world. (Not on the same date though).

Worked that in very nicely, Mozart; a most forgotten holiday; Happy Flag Day, America!

"She's a grand old flag, a high flying flag..."
