There seems to be a medical term for everything. What is the term or word for the skin that comes off after a person gets a sunburn?

'Desquamation' is a medical word for the shedding of skin. Is this the word you are looking for, or is there a special word for 'sunburnt' skin?

From what I can gather, there is a term for the skin itself, apparently after it comes off.
