They were before my time, but not too long ago I saw a Nash Metropolitan parked on a street in Spokane, WA. It was an ugly lime green (ugh!) and my wife and I would have a hard time squeezing into it as we are both a bit on the big side.

The ole Metro----OOOOOOH YAAAAAA... In '67, My folks had one-and believe this or not-drove it from Anchorage, Alaska all the way to Indiana...So you say,so what??? Well , he pulled a pop-up camper with it.... The damn camper was longer than the lil red and white Metro.... He also traded cars in Indiana...full size Pontiac...

Donrent: I absolutely believe that. The Metro had an Austin 4 cylinder that ran like a little watch. Do you remember the shifter on the dash and not the tree?
.........and then there was the Isetta....
