Of all the cars I have owned, a 1960 TR3-A with electric overdrive, was my favorite..
The question: The engine was a snappy little four cylinder...What was its use before being used in the TR ???
Now, lets lay of the computer for a while guys....

It's engine had agricultural ancestory. Tractors, it was.

But Standard Motor Cars also produced a lovely and powerful engine off this block called the "Sabrina". It was used in the TRSs which raced at LeMans. I had the great fortune to drive the only remaining ambulatory TRS. Sweet car.

I had heard of this car a few years ago but I don't know as I have ever seen one. Do either of you know a web-site that would have a picture and whatever other information that is available?

Most of the images here are of Triumph TRs. And this site has photos and information.
