I just installed Microsoft Office XP small business. I use mailwasher and it is wanting to go to Outlook express instead of Microsoft outlook. How do I fix this. I have winxp

Open mailwasher/TOOLS/ACCOUNTS/Remove Outlook Express and Import OUTLOOK....it will bring Outlook and it`s settings...so when you click mail program on mailwasher, OUTLOOK will open.

Thanks for the reply. I tried this and it still wants to open outlook express. A window then comes up saying "outlook express is not currently your default mail client. Would you like to make it your default mail client.
When I just open microsoft outlook, it works. It just won't if I use mailwasher.

When you see the message ""Outlook Express is not currently your default mail client. Would you like to make it your default mail client?" check the "Don't ask me this again" option and click "No".

This action will change your default mail client from Outlook Express to Outlook.

Note: Here is another way to change your mail preference from Outlook Express to Outlook.

1. Open Internet Explorer (Blue "E" icon on Desktop)
2. Click on "Tools"
3. Click Internet Options
4. Click the "Programs" tab
5. In the "E-Mail" option box, set Outlook as your preferred default mail program
6. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.

Thanks Dwight. I haven't been here much lately. Glad to see you're back. I tried this Dwight. I also went into internet options too. It say's Microsoft Outlook already in all areas. It is still coming up Outlook Express though.

Well I uninstalled mailwasher and reinstalled. Dwight you told me about this a few years ago when we were still at Jeeves. I didn't realize it was that long ago. Back then I believe you made a donation to mailwasher. So I purchased it and all is working fine. Thanks again for the help.
