I dragged my email folder to a folder on the desktop so I could put it on Cd. That worked just fine, Now when I open up the computer each a.m. I get all the white envelopes on the desktop. [emails] I put them in recycle bin and when I start computer again, there are all the envelopes [folders] on the desktop. I would like to know if anyone know what to do.

Hi thegels. Welcome to AnswerPool. Smile

It sounds as if your new emails are being sent to your desktop. That doesn't make sense. Confused I tried to drag an email file to my desktop and it didn't work. I can only move a file to my desktop to create a shortcut.

Try deleting that email folder from your desktop. This may help.

The logigcal explanation is You drag the Folder across and It contains a Code this is Similar to a web address
But the text portion is Kept on the Email server so if they are opened while not online all you see is a blank page Red Face That's my theory

But there is Good news certain email account such as Gmail can be made to do the thing you ask... How? Need a Plug in
Also Google desktop search can save email in its indexing bit time consuming to set up but is worth it http://desktop.google.com/index-pack.html ...Needs XP to run this

Read down this search and theres maybe something of help here too?
