Please help! My Dad got a laptop for Christmas. I am helping him set up. It's running Vista home basic, has MS Mail for email. It's very similar to Outlook Express, from what I remember. (I have used ATT/Yahoo for years.)

I cannot figure out how to activate auto-complete in the TO: field for email addresses. The box is checked (under Internet Options, Send), yet it does not auto-complete. He needs things to be as simple as possible. (Me, too.) Thank you!

Are there any addresses in the Windows Address Book? If not, then thats your problem - Windows Mail has nothing to suggest!

Looked around more more info on your problem... From what I've read, Windows Mail (for Vista) auto-suggest only suggests the last ~26 addresses which mail was sent to. I use a Mac, so I cannot test this myself.

Thunderbird (the mail companion to Firefox) is able to auto-suggest any address in its address book. (And yes, I have tested it)
