I see people who write newsletters are all time telling us of etiquette. I get soooo mad when people hit the 'reply' button when answering my E's (and from my little newsletter). I know that you can give a word a hyper-link that will send you places other that what the word says. Is there some way I can stick a hyper-link under my return name so that I can send these people to some site in the middle of the Gobi desert and force them to using the address book instead of sending my own newsletter back to me (when all their 'return' letter says: O.K, see ya' later,Cuz!) +++++++++++++++++ P.S. someone tell 'MuchWyza' I asked him another question - under the post of Seemed like a good idea..... dated 8/18/03 ..... Thanx

In you e-mail program, somewhere, is the "reply to" information....if that is blank, then your recipient can't use "reply"...I use Outlook Express for my e-mail, and the info is under "Tools",select "Accounts" then choose "Properties" and you can edit your reply info...But please don't enter a bogus address, you'll only be taking the chance of some poor innocent getting your replies clogging their in-box...and that would be a breach of etiquette!

Hi Kleo2x:
MrsS's and ivnj's method will work, by setting a bogus account on your computer then no replys will come to you.

While that works I think that would be a bit of a breach of Eddie-Cut Wink and you also might not recieve replys that you wanted to hear. Frown

I do agree with you though that getting you whole E-Mail back with just an "I agree" tacked on the bottom is bothersome.

Reminds me of the AnswerPool "Quote Button"

One thing you can do to discourage this is put any number of "Mail to" hyperLinks into your news letter.
Then; "HOPEFULLY" your readers will click those instead of the reply button.

Just sent you an E-Mail showing 3 types.

Best regards
