I assume that you're just double clicking on the attached file to open it. I also assume that these attached files that you're having trouble with have the .pdf file suffix.

I suggest you try this: Right click on the attached file and choose "Save As". Save the file to your system and then open Adobe Reader and click the File menu/Open command and open the file that way.

If the file opens correctly, then the problem may be with the file association. If this is the case, you can set the file association by right clicking on the file and choose "Open With" if your OS in WinXP.

For earlier Windows versions, select the file with a single left click, then right click on it and choose "Open With". Choose Adobe Reader from the list of programs.

In both cases, check the "Always use this program for files of this type" (or similar wording).

I hope this is of some help but if not please post again. It would be helpful to know what Operating System that you're using.

By the way, if you need a file attachment to work with, you can send one to yourself.

ok i tried that, but when i highlight the PDF document and right click it, all it says is
"open" "print" "save as" "save all" , there is no open with option..

i can "save as" to my desktop and open it inside adobe reader, and that works but it such a long way around, the other workers here at my office have troubles with that, ahaha thanx for the help

by the way im using windows2000

ps. when i doubleclick the file im trying to open it says

"cannot find file fine32.exe, this program is needed for opening files of type, please locate file"

I forgot one small but essential step for you to see the "Open With" command in older Windows Applications:

1. Left click on the file
2. Press and hold the Shift key
3. Right click on the file and use the "Open With" command.

I'm sorry for the omission.
