I have Outlook Express 6.0 (and WinXP Home). Someone sent me an e-mail with an attractive stationery which I would like to add to my selection. How can I do this? I do of course still have the original message.

Straight from the Help menu in Outlook Express...

"To use stationery you see in a message from someone else, select the message, and then on the File menu, click Save as Stationery.
A stationery file is an HTML file and can be edited in Outlook Express. In a new message window, on the View menu, click Source Edit, and then click the Source tab to make changes."

Notes:

1.Select the message by single clicking (left mouse button) on it to highlighT.
2.File menu button is at the top in the Tool bar

Happy correspondence!

The way I do it is to go to OE and click on new mail. Click the addresse and put in a subject. Move your insertion point to the letter section and go to "format" on the top line. Click on format and the drop down menu will show "add stationery. Click on that and you'll get a few samples of the ones on your computer. Choose the one you like . Hope this helps.

Many thanks, sonnet. Done it and it worked. As 'they' always say, 'If all else fails, RTFM - Read The F(lipp)ing Manual'!

Johnny thank you too. I have some examples of stationery kindly supplied by friend Gates and have downloaded some more, but I just like this one which I couldn't find to download directly.

Hotbar has a plugin for Outlook [Express] that comes with plenty of creative stationary. However, Hotbar is known to track where you surf (they claim its anonymous tracking) and display ads in it's IE toolbar. If you dont mind that, then Hotbar may be something to try. :D

JWooden271:

FYI: Hotbar (and Xupiter) is very, very nasty. Just ask Gin, Byter and bedstor. Be afraid, be very afraid.
