I downloaded Mailwasher. I have two e-mail accounts, one at the local ISP's server address and one at Yahoo.

The one at the local ISP's address shows up fine, but the Yahoo account -- I keep getting an error message saying the connection timed out, possibly due to a firewall.

I have Windows ME and McAfee VirusScan 6.0.

I'm also not sure of Yahoo's server address. I tried www.yahoo.com and rd.yahoo.com, but got same error message with both.

It won't work in MailWasher. You can set it up as a POP3 (Post Office Protocol) account to use with MailWasher.

Thanks for answering my question -- I went to the link in your answer. Am I right in thinking that to set up a POP account with Yahoo you have to subscribe for a yearly fee?

They began charging for POP3 email last spring.
