Every time I hit the "Send and Recieve" button on my e-mail toolbar, this error message comes up:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'mail.intelos.net', Server: 'mail.intelos.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
Does anyone know what this means? I can't check or send e-mail, because this comes up every time. I have Outlook Express 6.

Thanks for trying, putasolutions, but that didn't fix it. Now it's saying:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'mail.ntelos.net', Server: 'mail.ntelos.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
Any other ideas? Thanks.

Sarah51, It might be a good idea to remove that particular email account from Outlook Express, and then enter it again with the settings putasolutions suggested. I too am with Ntelos in Virginia, namely a small town called Wytheville, Va. I have had similar problems before, and re-entering the email account sometimes solves the problem. Hope this helps.

That error indicates that a persistant connection has been left open between your e-mail client and the server. You will need to wait for the connection to terminate.
A possible solution is, to follow the instructions given to you - which will in turn create a new cID - which will force the other persistant connection to close. It's really a matter of choice.
One other thing to check, if you have a firewall installed, that you set the firewall to allow the computer to act as a server, ie allow two way connection for msimn.exe
