My mail system is Yahoo

Received this cute story from a friend. It was forwarded 2 times. I’m gonna pass it on.

Clicked the ‘inline’ tab on the ‘Forward’ button. Compose page opens with all the forwards and signatures but where the article was supposed to be was a border with a red X.

Went back to original letter, clicked on ‘send as an attachment’ on the ‘Forward’ button. Compose page opens showing there is an attachment to the letter. [I was wanting to ‘edit’ the forward E-mail addresses from the article] Sent the letter to myself – back to in-box, opened letter and there was all the forwards with a border and a red X. [that I couldn't open].

Back to original letter. Clicked on ‘Reply’ – it also has a drop down menu with a selection of ‘inline text’ or ‘send as an attachment’ - - - I got the same treatment as before under the ‘Forward’ tab - - the old red X’s, but the forwards and the ending signature always showed up.

O.K., now we’re down to ‘copy & paste’. I cannot highlite just the article. I can highlite all the forwards along with the article but when I copy/paste that into my compose page – all that shows up is the forwards [this time with no indication of a border, nor red X, just a blank area in between the forwards and the signature.

Now I copy the article w/forwards and pull up Word2000. - - and pasted it in there.
You guessed it! - All I got was the forwards and the bottom signature

Back to the original article. This time I did a screen-shot. Pasted to Word2000 thru ‘Paint’ and did a ‘save as’, so theoretically I have it.

Then the wee hours of the night caught me, but here I am back this morning crying … er …ah, I mean, seeking advise from anyone who might have an idea of what in the world is happening to my mail system.

My next step is to contact the Yahoo boys.

Many times pictures can not be copied and pasted. A lot of times cute stories have graphics that will show up in your email yet they can't be copied and pasted or forwarded. (The red X is where the pictures were). I have found this to be the case with yahoo and other email programs. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It is the email itself and not your email program.

Really great forwarding tip:

To get rid of all the ">>>>>" in an email when you forward something do this:

Copy and paste your article in word.
Go to edit then find.
In the find Box click > and click on replace (leaving the replace box blank)and click replace all.
This will get rid of all those nasty >>>>>'s. Then just recopy and paste in your email again. Very Cool tip!
