If its MSN Messenger you mean then its a Registry Fix to stop it quote: Go to Start -> Run -> Regedit
and navigate to this registry section;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express
and create a new REG_DWORD entry with the name Hide Messenger. Give it a value of 2 and then re-start your computer. After that test it out by starting out Outlook Express and you'll find that MSN Messenger no longer starts up
There is also a Patch to do the same but I'd avoid it . The other option is view/send your OE mail by a 3rd party email service such as Zimbra www.zimbra.com/products/desktop.html which is Free You handle all the mail remotely and the Layout is easy OE style quote: All Your Accounts in One Place Zimbra Mail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, AOL, Outlook or any other work or personal email account using POP or IMAP is easy to set up in Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop. The best part—you can read them offline without an internet connection
Only difficult step is the Setup of the POP/IMAP numbers(we can find these for you)

Here is how you have to setup outlook express to work with Zimbra www.in-tuition.net/index.cfm?f...ID=113&categoryID=37 To be Honest I have never seen a Transfer set up as bad(and Long winded) as this (applies to all POP3/IMAP4 mail) On all the other transfers routine its basically enter 2 numbers your username and Password ...Finished OE's "way" varies even at the PORT # level Seen many posts Shouting out for help on this Issue. No wonder OE's popularity has gone down (I never have used it) There are Better Mail Services than this Even Windows Live Mail which was supposed to replace OE http://download.live.com/wlmail This also has the facilities to view other Email accounts (with no setup hassle) quote: Get multiple e-mail accounts in one program – Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo!* and more. And now Windows Live Mail has a calendar, too. Mail combines the ease of use of Outlook Express, with the speed of Windows Live.
