Have you ever gotten one of those Nigerian scams in your email? You know - where they say you won millions in a lottery (or whatever)? Well the webmaster on this site, http://www.419hell.com/, answers those scam emails and does everything he can think of to mess with the scammer's head and waste their time.

Here is a fake photo ID that one of the scammers sent him...
(I think I could eat a photo with some paper and poop a more convincing ID!)

Very funny!
Alistair Darling is our (Britain's) Chancellor of the Exchequer, he's our finance minister !
Now, considering the state of our country's finances, this may all be genuine. After all, the Treasury have been behaving like Nigerian scammers with our money Big Grin

Incidentally, we spell 'honorable' 'honourable' and Mr Darling is the Right Honourable Alistair Darling M.P., not the 'honorable'. He's not a member of the Scottish Executive, either. He was once the Secretary of State for Scotland, and he is a Member of Parliament for an Edinburgh constituency, but he's not in the Scottish Executive (the national government for Scotland). Indeed, as Chancellor, he's been in regular arguments with the Scottish Executive. Smile I've no idea what the 'British Executive' is Big Grin

These Nigerian scammers are often Nigerians who have studied in England, for the English Bar Exams, or they know someone who has. Often they've not completed the course. At best, they've a garbled understanding of our law and government.

When I get these emails, and I get at least 2 a day, I forward them to the following address:

spam@uce.gov

From what I understand, they investigate the email scammers, and try to catch them.
