As of a few hours ago All Yahoo mail servers are offline due to an ongoing outage of the Servers also all secure log-in pages to Yahoo feature pages are down also(PS I hear that Yahoo Messenger is down too but I've not tested this)
There is no word yet on what has caused this (even on the news on Google or internal Blogs)
I did find after much digging there was an outage on 6th July (same thing)and it was " fixed"...But the problem reemerged and "All"? the secure servers Have now gone down
I have posted my findings and thoughts on this forum
Ps Would you agree with my closing comment there? Smile

Still down for me Frown Remember when we say "Server" with the big companies this can be several dozen big capacity drives minimum all chained together as a Network And in Clarebears case her account may be on one of the unaffected servers and its been routed through a different way as an emergency measure?<--- My Theory Wink
In the Meantime I have alerted the Press to the Issue and they are trying to contact Yahoo . I Shall post any article if it appears on the Papers website Wink

For two days my Yahoo Mail notifications ceased to exist and I had to refresh to get new mail, then for two days I could not access Yahoo IM and my mail would not sign in automatically (thought I could click on it and go in on my own). Now it seems to be "back to normal". All of this seemed to start about the time Yahoo's stock price took a dump LOL.

Is Now back on ....
Strange, no messages on the Site nor on Google News Has this been supressed? Confused
They could have said they had something like a power failure (if that is true?) ...or are they too embarrassed to admit that? Red Face
I had 140 messages when I got back.

I had problems all day Friday. Yahoo was saying that my password was invalid. I finally ended up having my password re-set by Yahoo and using their assigned password was able to get into my yahoo, messenger, and mail. I looked for notices regarding what had happened and was unable to find anything either.

Bedstor - the Media must have heard you! "Power failure" cuts off Yahoo users
"Yahoo has apologised to its users in the UK after many were left without access to mail, instant messaging and search facilities over part of the weekend."

That still doesn't explain what happened over here on the 21st.
