Hi everyone. I have become aware recently, say in the last month or two of the huge amount of unsolicited emails I get. I never open them and send them straigh to my junk senders' list.

Some questions - bear with me please.

1. I'm going to the States in two weeks' time for 3 weeks very possibly 4 - I just know I shall come home a swamped inbox - is there anything I can do before I leave to prevent this?

2. When emails are sent to the junk senders' list where do they hide in my PC - sorry if this sounds a little naive?

3. How can I stop receiving these emails - all of which I have to say come from the USA and some of them are for prescriptions, investments etc. and adult stuff which I of course don't want?

I am currently using only my laptop which is Win XP Home and I have Outlook Express.

Thanks a lot please help?

Micawber:

Do you use MSN 9 Dial-Up as your Network?

If you do, then, when you bring up your MSN window there should be a space in the upper part of the window that says:

Mail & More.

Left click this item.

Then you will see a selection window on the right side of the screen that says:

Mail from everyone
Mail from people I know
Mail from unknown senders

Select the item that says:

Mail from people I know

That should reduce your level of E-Mail quite a bit.

Check with yur Internet Service Provider (ISP) to see of they offer a Spam Blocker program. Often these work quite well and cost next to nothing to include with your email system.

Hi guys I don't use MSN as dial up - indeed I'm on broadband ADSL.

I'll check with the isp though, this problem of receiving all of this stuff in my emails annoys me more than I can tell you.

Thanks.
