Not looking for a solution, just some directions to go to try to fix a problem.

One of my MSN mail accounts shows that I have no messages in the inbox. But, I know I have well over 100 unopened e-mails now. When new ones arrive MSN shows the little blue message screen that I have received an e-mail from whoever, yet the inbox still remains empty. I still receive mail in bulk mail though. My other MSN account works like a charm. My attempts to iron this out through Microsoft help Center have not been productive. Any ideas what might cause this ? Any commands or programs that could be missing to cause it ?

How are your receiving your mail? Are you using the MSN Explorer browser with its mail program? If so, try going to Internet Explorer and get your MSN mail through the browser (called Webmail).

Try this page, with your MSN mail username/password: MSN mail

Thanks Dwight. I was able to sneak in through there. Odd thing I noticed about my e-mail... when I click on "Organize Folders" my empty Sent Messages folder shjows -5 messages and 4,194,283 KB in it !!!! I appreciate the help immensely. That enabled me to send out change of address to everyone who had e-mailed the old account. Thanks again, Jim.

OK, now that we know the email system itself is working correctly, we can troubleshoot the MSN Explorer program (assuming that you want to use it instead of Internet Explorer).

I would guess that the problem is something in the "View" or "Folder View" menu. I don't have MSN Explorer and I don't remember all the menu items, but I would think that some setting in there could be changed to enable the inbox view.

It is good to hear from you!
