If anyone uses incredimail maybe you will know how to answer this. I had incredimail premium on my old Hewlitt Packard computer. Well we bought a new HP computer last week. I downloaded incredimail and now have problems with it. When trying to send or reply to an email, I get this error message. One or more messages could not be sent. These message are still in outbox. Please correct them and then try again. Then in the details section, it says forbidden. Incredimail support couldn't solve this for me, they said it had to do with MSN. Something can be done, because one of ten messages does end up sending. It is driving me crazy trying to figure it out. I have bought the incredimail program, so would like to have it work. I now have a hp pavilion a705w computer. Maybe it's a setting somewhere? Please reply if you know of an answer. Thanks.
Hi Dwight, so glad you are able to post again I tried what you suggested, I do have dial up. It sent this message, (The specified HTTP server name seems to be invalid. Would you like to use it anyways.)I clicked no, because I wasn't sure what to do. Here's what it says now, (http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/http.mail/asp
Your link isn't working but I assumed you had your email setup with POP3 and not HTTP.
I assume for HTTP mail, the outgoing setting will have to be setup with the MSN outgoing mail server.
To set up MSN SMTP servers for your outgoing email you must click on your account settings in the email client (Incredimail). In the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) field you will enter your MSN SMTP server as your SMTP server. You must then enter your MSN username and password for that mail server. I believe it is at the bottom of that same tab. You will check off "My server requires authentication" and you'll click on "settings" to enter your MSN username and password.
I hope this helps!
Dwight
