I am continually being bombarded with E-mail about earning money by taking surveys. Does anyone have any info about this. Is this a scam? Thanks

Yes I get lots of this type of things and i've been told by numerous people that yes they are pretty much a scam. Though maybe not all but, considering I don't know the scam from the real ones i tend to stay away from all of them.

If it sounds like it's too good to be true, it most likely is. I play it safe and stay away from those.
