I believe I have the Magic keyword Set to keep almost all Spam away from your Yahoo mail account. Cool
I didn't believe it myself though .How long this will last I don't know.
And I have not added a single URL to my block list in days (been plagued for months by the same spammers Frown)
So How did I do it?
Open your Mail box look for Options on the right top corner. Click on this link..
OK look down the middle Column (Management) for the Filters link
Next page has 2 panes Whats saved is on the Left. And whats contained in the Filter is on the Right
To make a Filter press the Add button OK
New Page opens And it is important where the following are placed OK?
and do not tick the "match case" box
And add a different file tag to each filter otherwise they wipe each other out
Frown
Here goes, there are 6 to be made of prime Spam keywords
1)Kw-Order
Put this in the Body: line (4th down) then set the menu beneath to Trash then press the Save changes button
2)Kw-Approval
Put this in the Body: line (4th down) then set the menu beneath to Trash then press the Save changes button
3)Kw-Med* ("*" is Shift +8)
Put this in the Body: line (4th down) then set the menu beneath to Trash then press the Save changes button
4)Kw-Advisor
Put this in the Body: line (4th down) then set the menu beneath to Trash then press the Save changes button
5)Kw-grow*
Put this in the Body: line (4th down) then set the menu beneath to Trash then press the Save changes button
6)Kw-erect*
Put this in the Body: line (4th down) then set the menu beneath to Trash then press the Save changes button
Finally 1 to keep the majority of Nigerian Scammers out of your hair Wink
Type your surname in the Header line(top line) and Solicitor in the Body: line and save as above.
All I have had to do is click on Empty Trash daily, and No spam has appeared in the Bulk folderCool
I tried Keywords Notify and Notifications. But that managed to block almost all my mail Mad

I just checked and I don't have any spam filters set up in my yahoo. If I ever get anything in my inbox, I mark it as spam and delete it. All of the spam goes directly into my bulk folder. (I have 122 in my spam box) I rarely get spam in my inbox. Maybe I should try those filters for my hotmail account.

Forgot to add the settings are carried over to the New Beta Email box Smile
Clarebear my Bulk folder has been on "0" for some time. I originally sent everything to there.
FYI The updated Trash Can (on the Beta program) Autoempties every few days .My only job is to drag the contents of the Inbox to the Trashcan (Big improvement on the old method) click on 1 item in the inbox to highlight it. Then Press CTRL + "A"together to highlight everything, then drag & drop the list over the Trash Link (get a Green icon when it lines up with a White Tick)
Takes about a second to do with practice Wink

Update...
Yahoo has now removed the Bulk folder on the Beta version...But still have no Spam getting by Cool
All I have now is the Main Inbox plus a customized folder to which all my notifications are directed Any other mail still goes to the main inbox (and all spam landing here is bounced or directed towards the Trash Bin) Even here there is Hardly anything to do unless the spammers change Tactics

Well bedstor, I set my filters up and its cut down a good bit on my spam in my inbox and junk folders, but I'm still getting an average of 25-40 in my junk mail each day. I guess they just have one up on me, LOL.

Chris or anyone who's looking at this
The key to getting this to near 100% is in the choice of Keywords to put in the filter
for instance I Have just managed to block a solitary persistant spammer on Gmail who kept throwing watches and sex pills my way.. Eek
Inputting watches or viagra in the filters did not work but I plugged on looking for something and I found it eventually the solution was to set the blocked keyword as "SAVE 82%" why? Confused Because all the Spam started with this in the title
Now they are all going to Trash WinkUntil they come up with a different title
In all honesty I think Gmail needs to strengthen its filters up It ignores even wildcards such as VIAG* even though the filter setup says they are acceptable Confused Mad
