I want to send the same e-mail to everyone, but I don't want each other to see other people's e-mail addresses so I put all of them to BCC. This is very reasonable, but the problem is that if I don't put any e-mail addresses to the TO section, everybody will eventually find out that I am using the BCC function to send e-mail. That means they are not the only one who got the e-mail, and that's not very good for some of the people since some people don't like to know that they are reading the same e-mail which everybody can get one too. Is there a way to show only that person's address in the TO sectiona while others are in the BCC section? For example, if I want to send an e-mail to 50 people. If "A" person reads that e-mail, he can only see his own address in the TO section, but if "B" person reads the same e-mail, that "B" person can see his own e-mail address as well. Do you see what I mean? Do you think it's possible?

I tend to send ALL my email in BCC. That way there is no question about who or how many is getting my emails.

Just make it a habit to from now on mail in BCC regardless of only 1 or 400 recipients and then there will be no question.

I have never found a way to do what you are asking myself.

ok, but I just that sending an e-card can use this option. Like sending an e-card in Bluemountain, no matter how many people I send to, the receivers can only see their own e-mail address. If I can also do that in normal e-mails too, that will be great.

Try putting all of the recipients in the BCC field and then putting your email address in the TO field. Then, the only other address everyone sees is yours. You can delete the message from your inbox after you've sent the message.

I have that problem with Yahoo. They require a [To]name before they will send it. Try sending messages through hotmail. They allow you to use the BCC option. Outlook Express also allows you to BCC. You can set up other accounts through there. Smile

Thanks for your information. So I can't just show one receiver's address at one time. For example, if I can sending an e-mail to John and Alex. Can I just show only John's e-mail addess in TO and Alex's e-mail address in BCC, but when Alex receives his e-mail, he will see his own e-mail address in TO (Alex's e-mail address) and John's in the BCC (hidden)?

To: Alex
BCC: John

John will see Alex's address
Alex will only see his own.

BCC: Alex
BCC: John

It will show To: None or Undisclosed-Recipient

Remember BCC means Blind Carbon Copy
They are blind to all other addresses.

yeah, I know what you meant by that, and I knew how to do that too, but is that possible if they cannot see each other's e-mail addresses but can see their own e-mail address. I know if they use BCC, they can see nobody's e-mail address, not even their own. Using TO and BCC wil see one, but cannot do what I want to do.

I think MkStfnz had the best advice for your situation. Put your email address in the TO field. Most people aren't really paying attention to that anyway unless they see other people's addresses. (makes them wonder how many strangers have their email address)

You say you don't want others to know you sent the same email to other people. Most people know if you did that anyway. A general, unpersonalized email is usually a good sign you sent it to others.

ok, thanks for the information. SmileI guess I will do the same thing like I use to do. clarebear and DvdGStwrt, hotmail is also like that too. You have to put an e-mail address in the TO section. It's a great idea to put your own e-mail address in there. Thanks a lot for your help.
