"I can no longer use the facility right clicking on a file in My Docs and clicking in the pop-up menu 'Send to recipient'. I have tried with both Outlook Express and AOL to no avail. Any ideas? Has a missing file severed the path? "
If anyone can help, I will tell him to come here to take a look.

I was looking around my documents folder, thinking, and saw a thing about security and sharing. Perhaps something in there is preventing it from acessing the files. There's a place where you can make the folder private to everyone except yourself and you use a password to get in. So maybe he's privatized it. You can find tons more about the subject that could've caused your problems under Help and Support Center, which is under the help menu, and then click on Networking and the Web
I also found that you might be using a computer name that already exists on the network. I found the procedure to fixing that if it's the problem. Or do you need to log on to the network. And there's plenty others it seems like correct sharing or doing Network Setup Wizard, etc. Or have you created a new user account maybe?
And then there's a place about firewalls. You can block all outside sources from connecting to your computer. You can then make exceptions and allow them, such as for e-mail programs. So that's another option.
So maybe something here will help. *crosses fingers*

Has he clicked on the file, then looked in the Left pane at the options instead? There is a Web publishing wizard there which I imagine will copy the File selected and email it? (never used this so I'm guessing) I note the default is your main email service In my case AOL
