How does one go about editing the size of photographs they want to e-mail to friends??I want to send out pictures that are 3 by 5 or 4 by 6........not ones that take up the entire screen.

If you have a scanner then you probably have the software to do so. If not, you simply need a picture editing program. One that is really easy is Photo Impression and you can download it on-line. Once in such a program simply go to the edit area that specifies resizing the picture in question. Pictures are often measured in pixels instead on inches though, so for what you are wanting I would use something around 300x500. Hope this helps.

The alternative method is sending them to me via e-mail (look in profile) and I will resize for you and have them back quickly...
'tis what I do when I am not working Smile

Great answer from Ruthann. Another great graphics program is IrfanView. It is a free download available by clicking here.

Using IrfanView, open the image, then click the "Image" menu, and then the "Resize/Resample" command. After resizing the image, save the file.

Thanks to you both! I first tried downloading Photo Impression...but near the end of a very long download (6 hrs), my ISP reared its ugly head and booted me offline, which is a nasty habit it's acquired. Mad Then, after much weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth, I referred back to this post, and saw Dwight's answer.........and remembered somewhere in the distant past I'd already downloaded Irfanview previously. I tried it........and no more page-hogging pictures! Thanks again to you both! Smile
