I've noticed for the past several months that I get a lot of junk email addressed to Thaddeus Janicki of Azusa....from all different types of senders....sometimes just to Thaddeus, sometimes to The Janicki Family.
Do you think someone has played a trick on me (or worse)?...maybe sent my email address in with that name...I do know of someone in AZ who would have been capable of such a dastardly deed....

Hi Cyndi
I sometimes have this happening, but so long as you don't respond you are safe from further Spam Mad
Next step is to make your mailbox reject this mail or reduce it? Razz
Can you tell us what email service you are using? or is it arriving via 3rd party email service? Roll Eyes
On some emails lately you can divert a lot of junk email into a separate area"Bulkmail" for instant disposal or review, Yahoo,Lycos & AOL have this feature, works well Smile
I can help you with these but I can only give you basic help with others.OK?

I use Yahoo mail exclusively, and it does come to the Bulk mail section. It's not hurting anything, I just was curious why so much of it thinks my name is Thaddeus Janicki.

Cyndi,
I get those emails all the time too, the only thing I can think of is that the name the email is addressed to is at the top of the list of many that email was sent to. My email address books are set up to have the "To" part showing one particular email address and name as to who I sent the email to, while I have the rest showing in the "BCC" (Blind Carbon Copy) area. When I send out an email, it only shows one person I sent it to. that may be what is happening to you. You can just delete it with no worry, like spam. LOL

I went though the help files on Yahoo
and I found that you can setup a filter to divert flagged messages directly into Trash
Though If you're happy with these messages going to Bulkmail disregard this but somebody may find this to be of use?
http://help.yahoo.com/help/uk/mail/manage/manage-10.html
For the record today I had 100+ messages in Bulkmail and 2 in my normal mail Eek which I converted to Spam I give it a week to fill then I empty it without viewing the contents
All my personal stuff goes to my Aol addresses
Idea for you Why not open another account with Yahoo and tell all your contacts to send you email there and all your contacts other than them can continue to post to your original addy?
