Hi all:

Every once in a while my MSN mail decides to stick me on some folder other than Inbox, and will open there. It's a folder stored on my computer. How can I stop/prevent this?

Does it open in the folder that the Window closed in?

If you have created a mailbox name "Sue" for instance, does it open in the "Sue" box if that was selected when the Window closed?

You can try selecting your Inbox, then closing the Window. When you reopen MSN, is the Inbox selected by default?

I don't run the MSN software and it has been quite a while since I last used it, so my memory of the layout is vague.

Thank you, Dwight. The answer to both your questions is "no." No matter what folder I close in, when I sign in again, it opens in the same folder: "Stored Messages."

Forgot to say, in MSN this file shows as empty, but in IE 7 it shows with plenty of files.

In your MSN, on the far right side of the Window is there an "options" button? If so, you may find a setting about selecting the mail folder that you prefer to have selected by default.

When you say "MSN mail" are you referring to MSN Hotmail?

I believe that she means MSN "Things are better with the Butterfly" email. It is very similar to Hotmail, but there are some differences.
