Briefly:
NON LINEAR TIME
is a prosody of space. Mathematically speaking, while performing experiments, the concept of time not being just a numerical quantity is used (i.e. it is used along with another variable quantity; according to a certain relation).A Monte Carlo simulation study is performed to compare the performance of the different weighting schemes. The simulation results show that the non-linear combination methods are superior. When forecast errors are correlated across models, the nonparametric weighting scheme yields the lowest mean-squared errors.
