On the spectrum off light when you go over to the ultra violet area, the bandwidth of light gets narrower. Now I was wondering what would light become if the bandwith became a straight line? and how much Ioning power would something like that have?

Visible light is just one form of electromagnetic radiation. As the wavelength of the electromagnetic spectrum gets smaller and smaller, it ultimately reaches the shortest elec-mag wavelength known, the gamma ray, with a wavelength of only 10 -15 meter, which is about the size of the smallest sub-atomic particle known, the quark. Shorter wavelengths of radiation have not yet been found, because we do not yet have the means to probe into such smaller lengths. But such a wave could never become flat, it would be limited to the Planck Length of 10 -35 meter, beyond which one could never probe. The shortest wavelengths of all may be outside the electromagnetic spectrum, and into the gravity wave spectrum of accelerating masses. While some gravity waves may be extremely large (light years) in length, others, such as may be found in black holes, may have wavelengths so small (in the order of 10 -30 meter) that they can escape into the higher order dimensions of space-time to brane new worlds (Hawking terminolgy) yet unknown.

Any energy wave has the theoretical wavelength limit of one cycle the length of the longest dimension of universe (which is expanding), or approaching infinite cycles... both would interestingly be perceived as approaching a straight line... which does not exist.

In other words, diving into one always gives you an infinity of .0000000---->etc. Yeah I could see where it would never become a true straight line.
