Hi! My question is about cut roses...the ones
you get at a floral shop. I heard that if you get some roses, to put them in "sugar water" to make them last longer. Is this true? If so, how much sugar do you put?
Thank you!

I found this formula to keep your cut roses fresh. I know it sounds weird but the same ingredients were in many other sites I checked.

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 quart warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon household bleach.

An alternative recipe is 1 pint water, 1 pint lemon-lime soda and 1/2 teaspoon bleach.

Here are some great tips from the two best sites I found.
