This is so strange! I just watered my palm plant and I saw a little mushroom in the dirt. On the other side I see two bright yellow little stalks with round tops. (Looks like the beginning of 2 mushrooms). I saw that one side was growing bigger so I turned it around. It was like that for a few weeks and I just switched it back a few days ago. I have had this plant for a year. It is a 10 inch pot on a stand. Mushrooms? What's up that? I just saw in another post about mushrooms that it is bacteria. How did this happen and what should I do now?

First of all, mushrooms ARE NOT bacteria, they are a fungus. You have mushrooms because at some time or another mushroom spores landed on the soil. The only way to get rid of them is to replace the dirt, probably the top two inches would be enough.
Mushroom spores are very small and could travel inside with you on your clothes, or in your hair. In fact...you may have spores on you right this very minute!!
