Where can I find a dried silver dollar plant? (The white circle plant)I have seen a few plastic ones in stores but they look so fake. I did find someone selling a whole box on ebay but they looked fake too. I really want to get a clear vase and just have a bunch of stems in it. Are there other ways to display them? Do you know who sells these? Any ideas?

Thanks Jenny. The one big box is the one I saw. The pieces sort of look all broken and small. Do they look that way to you? What do you think about the other one? It looks like a tree. LOL. What do you think? I found what I want but I don't want to spend $80.00. See here.

Its also called the money plant, these are plants that grow in the spring. They can be mistakened as weeds, but if you let them grow they have a beautiful purple flower on the ends that eventually turn to a pod. These pods are two sided with a shiny film inside. You simply let them dry out and then slide the two sided pods off gently to reveal the silver underneath. I have them all over my yard, and they do come back, because of reseeding if you take care of them. Here's a site you can purchase the seed.
Maybe you could start them inside, and transplant in the spring in a spot where you can keep an eye on them. They grow to be around 2-3 ft. and like shade, partial sun. Really pretty purple in the spring!

Thank you soaringhorse. It would be cool to watch them grow. I didn't know they get a purple flower that turns into a pod. I have only seen them dried or fake in a little arrangement. They usually are set in acrylic to make it look like they are sitting in water. It sounds like I'm missing out of something great.
