anyone have any tips on how to encourage tulips to flower?

we have some that come back every year (we DONT dig the bulbs out, store them etc etc and they seem to do fine) with amazing foliage, but i have yet to see a flower on them.

we live in zone 2, and these ones get very little sunlight, seeing as there is a huge lilac hedge between them and the sun.

Unfortunately, your information in there says exactly why they aren't blooming...they don't get enough sun. The best thing for you to do is to dig up the bulbs and move them to an area where they will get the sun they need. Tulips in the shade will grow, but you will likely never get any flowers...
