If you use coffee grounds in your gardening, Starbucks will give them to you for free! The place I work, not a Starbucks, will save them upon request, so I imagine other locally owned coffee houses would, too.
Coffee grounds add acid and minerals to compost heaps and to soil when mixed in, and can be spread at the base of acid loving periennials like roses and lilacs....Coffee! It's not just for breakfast anymore!More uses here and Here
