I have a lavander plant who's lower leaves are turning a pale brown. I think the browning is due to moisture, because they didn't start turning until I started misting the leaves (mistakingly thinking that it wanted that)

Anyway...I know it's not over-watering, because if I don't water every day the plant wilts because of the heat...but somehow I think the moisture is turining my leaves. How can I tell??

Hi,
Is your lavender a houseplant? If so, check the type of potting soil you are using. Lavender likes dry, sandy soil. I have one in my garden in a spot with undoubtedly the worst soil in my yard and it's become huge this summer with very little water. As lavender is a drought tolerant plant, I can't understand why it's wilting. Try watering it from the bottom instead of pouring water on the top. My suggestion would be to put the pot in your kitchen sink with about an inch of water before you go to bed at night. Be sure to let the soil dry out between waterings. Let me know how you make out.
