I live in Wisconsin and have a Tropical Hibiscus in a pot..I have to bring it inside once the temps get close to freezing, and then take it back out in the spring after freezing threat is over. Don't hibuscus' go dormant during the winter? I would love to be able to plant this outside and not have to have a spindly wooden tree in my living room all winter long! I believe the variety I have needs the warmth even during dormancy...but would appreciate any words of wisdom. I inherited this Hibuscus from mom-in-law, and I'd never had one before so don't know how much I can abuse it.
