I have a Spring Cactus, similar to the Christmas Cactus, It has 3 sprouts on it of a totaly different type of cactus and I wanted to know how this happens and how to remove them for replanting.

So many plants are hybrids nowadays, so that could be the reason. If that is the cause, I doubt that you would be able to propagate them.
