Today I inherited a Dracaenas (Corn Plant) the one with the broader leaves.
It was found outside, on its side, its tiny pot way too small for its height. The height (pot and all) is 68" (5 feet 8 inches).
Having been outside and on its side, the crown (top leafy part) lists to one side when standing upright. Further, many of the leaves had "sunburn" brown streaks.
I'm getting ready to repot this newbie into a larger heavier pot - since the old pot has an ant nest in it (presumably recently sprayed with insecticide).
Since it has been outside for months under a shrubby tree (lots of shade except for late afternoon) and has been subject to 50F days and mid to low 30 F nights, will there be a problem just bringing it inside or will I have to acclimate it to the room temperatures inside (60F night 71+F sun heat days)
Will the sudden switch from outside light to indoor light be an issue?
Anything else you think I should know would b appreciated.
