Where do I snip to dead head my Gerber Daisies?

I believe that if you snip the flowers off, it does the job. They just LOOK nicer if you snip them back as close to the leaves as you can.

In deadheading any perennial that still has green tissue, simply remove the spent flowers back to the first set of leaves. Snipping with a pair of scissors does the job nice & neat.

On a gerbera daisy, you snip all the way to the bottom of the stem. That stem that had the flower on it will never bear another bud - so you are waisting the plant's energy keeping the stem...
