My Ivy and a couple of my other indoor plants are getting brown spots on the leaves, why is this happening...I water them at least once a week..I check the soil daily and it never feels dry. Thanks!
There could actually be a number of different reasons that the plant is getting brown spots. It's possible that it could be a fungus or even too much direct sunlight. It is also possible that it could be caused by too much water. Oftentimes, Ivy doesn't need to be watered every week. Another possibility might be that the water you are using is too cold...
Try removing the leaves that have the brown spots and keeping water at room temp to use when it needs it. Also try to make sure that you don't wet the leaves.
Thanks, all good tips...I do use cold water ( I will use tea next time) and I don't let it get dry to the touch, I thought that was too dry, so now I will wait a few extra days to give them their drink. I know that the light should be okay, our house is light, but no direct sun light comes in. Thanks again!
