Thanks so much for the trip down memory lane. The picture is how I like to remember ozzy, After seeing the Oz lately, I'm not too sure if he has any working brain cells, but damn, he can still sing!

hell no ozzy's not the king of metal.
the king of metal was black sabbath (NOTICE, ozzy just ADDED to the band, he didnt MAKE the band)

because of him, the world no longer has randy rhoads, and because of him, jake e lee is forever forgotten.

Agreed. I mean C'mon he's not that great. Ron James Dio did just as good a job as front man. A very small front man at that.

I always thought the King of metal was Andrew Carnegie, founder of US Steel.

At JakeELee.com, in the "biography" section, it states that, for the most part, Jake's split with Ozzy was mutual. How is Ozzy responsible for Jake being "forever forgotten"?

How is Ozzy responsible for the choice Randy Rhoads made?

I totally agree that Ozzy is the king of metal. And it's crazy to say that he was responsible for Randy Rhoads death, Ozzy was asleep in the bus at the time they were playing around in the plane that crashed, I loved Randy Rhoads but, to say Ozzy was responsible for what happened is just B.S.

It seems to me that the "King of Metal" title should go the the originator, Mars Bonfire of Steppenwolf. He wrote 'Born to Be Wild' ("I like smoke and lightning, heavy metal thunder!") That's where the term heavy metal, which is now simply metal, originated.
