I read about this in Newsweek. I’ll have to check it out when I am home because I don’t have Flash Player (or something) at work (not that I would EVER access the internet from work unless it was work related, of course!). And we’ve been without-home-computer for nearly a month so I’m just all backed up on my petition signing.
quote:
I guess when you die, you will be all dressed up with no place to go!
Not me, at least. I won’t be dressed up at all. I assume they’ll pick my attire for me once I get to The Body Farm.

The whole thing is nonsense. The scriptures on blaspheming the Holy Spirit and not being forgiven have more to do with this very thing being an impossibility than a damnation. One cannot contemplate the Holy Spirit without being in the Holy Spirit so that thereby blaspheming the Holy Spirit is an impossibility, and forgiveness of an impossibility is unnecessary. You got that, right? In other words, one can foolishly try to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, but to do so one must contemplate and so be in the Holy Spirit, in which case one would, therefore, be only fooling oneself about sinning at all.
The Holy Spirit is God's perfect mind, and God does not sin. So to contemplate the Holy Spirit = to be in the Holy Spirit = to be unable to sin.

From what I understand of the verse, it basically means lieing in the name of God. Saying that something is from/by God and where as its actually not and vice versa.
it would include examples such as.... when you see people on some christian channel being healed from some disease by the holy spirit (or the word of gospel). If they are lieing for whatever reasons, that they are committing blasphemy against the holy spirit. Examples would include many muslim clerics and christian priests (even pat robertson).
Thats what i understand and it makes very good sense.
Genuine mistakes or delusions... I do not know if they would come under this category.
It would even include a deliberate misinterpration of a verse from the Bible or Quran
