What does everyone think about Puff Daddy, Or P Diddy, whatever his name is, running the New York City Marathon for public schools?

I think it was a great thing to do, because he had the kids in mind. He raised about 2 million. I believe it's because of him that the big dogs like Michael Bloomberg donated so much. Jay Z and Jennifer Lopez were also big donors, among others. Even tho he has a bum knee, he was determined to help the kids.

Hats off to P. Diddy. He da man. Wink

I agree... I think that it is wonderful that he is giving up his normal life style so he can raise to him what is pocket change, for children that really need it.

I am proud!! Wink

I am proud as well. He did awesome Cool He came in with a nice cool time of 4:14:54. While he didn't beat Oprah's time like he wanted, I think he gained a lot of respect from people that said he couldn't do it.

THANKS, ON BEHALF OF THE KIDS, PUFFY! SmileSmileSmile

I used to not respect Puff at all.
When I heard about him running the marathon for the kids and education. I grew a whole new respect for the man.
It wasn't because he was sucessful that I didn't like him. It was for a whole diffrent reason.
I respect him as a businessman, an entrepreneur or however you spell it, and as a person. Just not as a rapper.

Ron, I'm so glad that you are open minded enough to change your mind when you see things different or when people change. That says a lot about your character. Smile

Puffy has calmed down a lot. I wish that he and J-Lo would get back together. They look so cute together and now that he's toned down a bit, I think she would be happy being with him.

definately Pup. Ya gotta give credit where credit is due. The guy definately is a very intelligent businessman. He knows how to make stars. No doubt about it.
What really showed his down to earth side and him keeping it real. Is when he trained hard to run that marathon to raise that money for the less fortunate. I thought that was great.
I just don't care for his rapping.
Personally if I do say so myself.....I think I could bury him in a freestyle battle.

Hey Puffy if you're reading this. Name the time and place buddy....lol.

LOL Ron. I don't listen to many of his things unless he's with someone else. I liked him with Nelly and Murphy Lee and I think he's a great dancer, but I agree with you on his rapping.

Did you watch him train for that marathon? Talk about real. I thought he was going to throw in the towel a few times...he worked his tailfeathers off for that run Big Grin

And not only did he raise money for those kids, he taught them a valuable lesson as well. He has a lot, he's worked hard for it and now he's sharing it and helping the kids. It feels good to give..and he should be feeling very good, right about now. Smile

Mtv fan a news special about rap artists who give their services to people. They said Puffy also had a foundation that gives lots of money to underprivledged kids but the name is right on the tip of my tounge. Here's the article about it.

Oh and I'd have to agree with Ron. He may be a smart business man and good producer, but his rapping is pretty sub-par.

Sorry to poo poo the Puff man, but he's so unbelievably overhyped and overexposed, it's no wonder the dude carries a pistol with him wherever he goes - he realizes I think that folks can get a little weary of him and his announced success. Props for running the marathon though for the kids. Pretty classy. BUT....me no likey his persona.

The little shooting incident a while back with Shyne at the club. I wish I was that guy.
This is what happened. Puffy walked into the club wearing all this ice. All G'd up. This guy walked right up to him and was like, "F" you man, you ain't ish. I got more money than you could imagine fool. Homeboy threw a thick wad of hundreds into Puffy's face, and said hey fool drink are on me ya broke sucka, but in harsher words.
Shyne pulled his steel, aimed it at the guy, then popped like 3 or 5 caps towards the ceiling.
The broad that got hurt, she was trampled by the crowd, and not by any of Puffy's crew.
She just wanted the money.
